Temptress

The Temptress Implant is an NFC driven thermometer implant allowing users to easily capture their body temperature with a scan of their phone. The device is constructed of a flexible PCB with five thermometers enclosed in a biocompatible coating. The device would then be placed by an associated artist or clinician using a needle.

The initial prototype run of 5 Temptress devices is currently in manufacturing and will be demonstrated at Vitalia.city. This campaign is intended to fund an initial production run of 50 devices. A list of volunteers to test the unit is being compiled.
Those who help fund the project will be given priority on the volunteer list.
The dimensions of the Temptress are 5.8mm x 25.4mm. The suggested placement of the device is inferior to the axilla opposite the dominant hand. The device can be read with a scan or used continuously with an externally worn conduction loop. Uses range from athletic tracking to worker safety when in adverse environments.

The design and methods of fabrication of the Temptress will be released Open Source. Funding of the Temptress project supports the biohacking community and helps Augmentation Limitless in our endeavors to remove the obstructions to widespread adoption of cybernetics.

We hope to fund between 30 to 50 devices. At this volume, the cost per device is 500 USD giving us a need for 25,000 USD. Were this funded in time, we’d hope to offer these to Vitalia.city volunteer participants and have them placed by a preferred body modification artist in Prospera. Thank you so much for supporting our work and helping build a future available to everyone.
