Coruscate Implant

The Coruscate implant is a powered subdermal implant intended for use as an aesthetic output device. The flexible tubing contains a bright addressable light source easily seen through the skin under any conditions. The Coruscate can be used to enhance body art such as tattoos or to display a chosen variable such as heart rate or spO2 levels.
The device will be constructed of a PCB and sensor array enclosed in a biocompatible coating. The device would be placed by an associated artist or clinician using a needle. The positioning of the display light can be altered to create any shape desired.
This funding will allow us to fabricate and test 5 of these devices in volunteers, a process frequently requiring multiple renditions and redesigns. Once the design is finalized remaining funds will be used in signal interpretation and app development.

This campaign is intended to fund the development, prototyping, and testing of the design. The design and methods of fabrication will ultimately be released Open Source. Funding of the Temptress project supports the biohacking community and helps Augmentation Limitless in our endeavors to remove the obstructions to widespread adoption of cybernetics.
We’re asking for 50,000 USD to help us make this project a reality. Once ready for a production run, funders will be given a significant discount. Thank you so much for supporting our work and helping build a future available to everyone.
