| The litAF QiLight is a Qi powered subdermal aesthetic implant which can be placed beneath tattoos and similar body modifications to provide bright underlighting. Phosphorescent pigments in the resin allow the litAF to continue glowing after removal of the charging coil for as long as ten minutes. The underlighting of skin allows for a new form of self-expression as well as the opportunity to create new forms of art by taking advantage of the interesting effect created. |
| The litAF implant was developed and tested as a community endeavor and the design is available open source. Funding this project allows us to further develop the technology and helps us to facilitate the adoption of consumer cybernetic implants. The cost to manufacture and appropriately coat the litAF implant would be 1,000 USD per unit and we’d need to fabricate 50 for a total cost of 50,000 USD.
