Temptress II

The Temptress II is an NFC driven subdermal implant intended to capture heart rate and pulse oximetry via PPG as well as temperature with a scan of your mobile phone.

The Temptress II is in active development and final design will be determined through the collaboration of participants at Vitalia.city. The device will be constructed of a flexible PCB and sensor array enclosed in a biocompatible coating. The device would be placed by an associated artist or clinician using a needle.

This campaign is intended to fund the development, prototyping, and testing of the design. The design and methods of fabrication will ultimately be released Open Source. Funding of the Temptress project supports the biohacking community and helps Augmentation Limitless in our endeavors to remove obstructions to the widespread adoption of cybernetics.
The design of the Temptress II will use a similar layout as its predecessor. The dimensions are 5.8mm x 25.4mm. The suggested placement of the device is inferior to the axilla opposite the dominant hand. The device can be read with a scan or used continuously with an externally worn conduction loop. Uses range from athletic tracking to worker safety.

This funding will allow us to fabricate and test 5 of these devices in volunteers, a process frequently requiring multiple renditions and redesigns. Once the design is finalized remaining funds will be used in signal interpretation and app development.

We’re asking 25,000 USD to help us make this project a reality. Once ready for a production run, funders will be given a significant discount. Thank you so much for supporting our work and helping build a future available to everyone.
